ARTIST BIO
Robert Weinstein has been exhibited in a one man show in New York's SOHO district and represented by galleries in Toronto, Cape Cod, Boston and Nashville. His canvases have sold at auction and are in numerous private collections all over North America. In 1965, he walked into an art store in Fishkill, New York, and inspired by the aroma of the oils, tried to buy some paint and canvas. The owner instead offered him a charcoal pencil and paper. “If you still want to paint in a month, come back,” the man said. Weinstein did return and began learning how to paint in earnest. He enrolled in classes at the New York Museum of Modern Art and studied under artists in the Hudson Valley of New York State - the extent of his formal training Living in Canada in the 1970’. He exhibited in several one-man shows in Toronto and had his first public showing in the United States in 1981. His works were accepted into the prestigious Plymouth Juried Arts Show, where he was invited back for a second showing. He is currently being shown at the Wit Gallery in Lenox, Massachusetts and the Geary Gallery in Darien, Connecticut. Private collectors often come to his home studio in North Easton, Mass. or commission works.

PRODUCER/ DIRECTOR BIO Robert Weinstein is a Producer, Director and a Writer in television and motion pictures. His career began in New York with NBC News and ABC Special events and with regional theater and summer-stock companies. He has directed major pop and rock stars in concert from symphony halls beginning with Tom Jones, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, and the Guess Who, David Clayton Thomas and more. The performance list on his shows range from classic comedians to top vocalists of our time. Television events included the Winnipeg Folk Festival and the Cincinnati Summer Pops Special featuring legendary jazz artists; and concerts from Boston night-spots for Networks. For Canadian Networks, CBC & CTV, and world wide syndication, he produced and directed hundreds of television hours in Series and Specials, including 132 television talk-variety shows, original musicals “Candyman” and “Olympiad a Tribute to the Montreal Olympics.” The Tommy Banks Show series, is stored with the Television Archives in Los Angeles. The American Gospel music special, for the CBC Network achieved an Emmy award. His documentary, “The Valiant of Susquehanna” was nominated for a Peabody Award. Corporate films for IBM, AT&T, New England Telephone and American Airlines awarded him Creative Excellence three years in a row and a Canadian Industrial Film Award. Credits include more than fifty films for major corporations . Between 1998 and 2005 he was an adjunct- Professor at Emerson College. He graduated New York University’s with a Bachelor’s degree in television and film production.
